My name is RC. I am 56 years old. I am a retired Federal Law Enforcement Agent from the United States. In September of 2008, I was treated by Dr. Alfredo Estrada for wear and tear of both knees.

A little history about my knees. In 1979 I had a total removal of the meniscus on the left knee. After many years of bone on bone impact osteoarthritis developed and a deformity on my left knee was very noticeable. In 2003 and 2005, I had arthroscopic surgery on the right knee which left only a small layer of meniscus left on my right knee. The injury had occurred much earlier, but I had delayed treatment until it was no longer bearable. After another injury on the right knee in 2005, the doctor refused to do anymore surgery because removing the last thin layer of meniscus would only worsen the right knee conditions.

My doctor kept telling me I didn’t have one good knee, and that sooner or later I will need knee replacement. It was not an option I was ready to take at my age. I struggled with the pain in my knees for years. I used the handrails to help myself up and down stairs. I had to go up and down one step at a time to maintain my balance. I had very little control of my knees as to which direction to turn or go without medications. Prolong standing or walking was difficult and accomplished only with daily pain killers, anti-inflammatory medications and that’s how I performed my job. The complications were always compounded with changes in the weather. After years of pain, agony, pain killers and anti-inflammatory medications, I sought a different treatment.

With Dr. Alfredo Estrada’s treatment, I had immediate relief on the next day. There was no surgery or anesthesia to deal with, and I only got better as the days went by. My only pain was the placement of the needle for the IV. I am glad I ran into Dr. Estrada. The ugly scenes of struggling with sickness and disease in my golden years have disappeared. I can now enjoy the quality of life I have worked hard for and wish.
